DMCA Policy
This policy explains how to report potential copyright concerns involving content published on the Velocity Vault website and outlines the information needed for a thorough review.
Reporting a Copyright Concern
If you believe that material published on this website infringes your copyright, submit a written notice identifying the protected work and the specific page or content that requires review.
Information to Include in Your Notice
| Required item | Description |
|---|---|
| Copyright owner details | Your full name, organization name if applicable, and reliable contact information. |
| Protected work | A clear description of the copyrighted material you believe has been used without authorization. |
| Reported material | The exact URL or page location where the disputed content appears so it can be identified. |
| Good-faith statement | A statement explaining that you believe the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its representative, or applicable law. |
| Accuracy statement | A statement confirming that the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner, where applicable. |
| Signature | A physical or electronic signature from the copyright owner or an authorized representative. |
Review and Response
Once a sufficiently detailed notice is received, Velocity Vault may review the reported material and take appropriate action, including removing or restricting access to content when warranted. Missing information may delay the review process.
Counter Notice
If you believe that material was removed or restricted in error, you may submit a counter notice identifying the affected content and explaining the grounds for your objection.
Responsible Copyright Reporting
Copyright complaints should be submitted only when you genuinely believe that your rights have been infringed. Knowingly making material misrepresentations may result in legal consequences under applicable law, including 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
